Agua Dulce, California
As Good as it Gets!

February, 2008

My name is Doug Abney, retired LAPD helicopter pilot/watch commander

I am organizing an event at the Agua Dulce Air Park on behalf of EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) chapter 40 based at Whiteman Airport in Pacoima. As part of the EAA nationwide program of introducing youth between the ages of 8 and 17 to aviation. Every FAA chapter offers free flights on a monthly basis.

In order to reach youth living in Agua Dulce/Acton we are hosting a "Young Eagles" Day at Agua Dulce Airport on Saturday, march 29, from 1000 - 1400 hours.

Children between the ages of 8-17 will be given a free airplane ride around the local area to introduce them to aviation and, hopefully, plant the seeds of interest in a career in an aviation related field.

When: Saturday, March 29 2008

                          Where:  Agua Dulce Airport

See you there!!

help us locate!

We were wondering if anyone could help us locate the book by Marilee Montana entitled, Montie Montana: Not without my horse, published by Double M Company in Agua Dulce. Thank you, Sincerely,

Bruce Mulcahy

Blue Shadows Mounted Drill Team

This organization was founded in 1957 and is dedicated to both teaching children ages 9-16 about horses and riding and also allowing them to be part of a team while learning responsibility and leadership. Children do not need to own their own horse to participate...in fact most don't. This organization rides out of two locations: Lake View Terrace and Agua Dulce. The Agua Dulce ranch opened about 10 years ago and many local people who grew up in the area, though familiar with our organization, are unaware that we have a location that serves the Santa Clarita, Acton, and Antelope Valley area.
